Dynamite Hip-Hop – Akil the MC, Louis Logic and guests

Dynamite Hip-Hop in Penzance have a big night to tell you about. In the past Souls of Mischief, Guru from Gangstarr, GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan and KRS-One are some of the famous names that have graced the Dynamite stage. Now they are pleased to bring down Jurassic 5 front-man Akil the MC, playing on the same bill as NYC rapper Louis Logic!

Jurassic 5 are the legendary crew responsible for tracks such as “Concrete Schoolyard” and “What’s Golden” – Akil will play all the J5 classics as well as his solo material. Akil played a set in Cornwall last summer and filled the club, so arrive early and pack up the front!

Louis Logic is signed to Fat Beats Records NYC and is best known for his widely acclaimed album Sin-A-Matic. Louis won over the Dynamite crowd the last time he ventured to this corner of the world, and he is looking forward to seeing the same energy as last time. Opening for these two hip-hop heavyweights is Ceschi Ramos, a newcomer to the scene who is making moves state-side at the moment. As well as this line-up of live international talent, you can listen to sounds of Dynamite resident DJs Louis J and Ali Walker.

Since the last Dynamite show, their previous home in Penzance (Club 2k), has undergone a complete refit and is now known as SOUND. Dynamite events will now be in Room 2 on Friday nights from 11pm, while residents CQ and Boris play a commercial set in the main room. So it’s a bigger party – the more the merrier! This event is on Friday 8^th October at Sound Nightclub Penzance from 11PM – 3AM. Entry is only £5, which is an amazing price to see two hip-hop superstars in a very intimate venue.
